Life is full of storms. Waves crash around us and winds howl, threatening to capsize our boats. Yet Jesus calls us out onto the tumultuous seas, beckoning us to join him in walking on water.
When we step out in faith, keeping our eyes fixed on him, the impossible becomes possible. Though our footing may falter, Jesus is there to catch us if we start to sink. With his strength, we can rise above the raging storm.
Peace is not found in calm waters and smooth sailing. It is found in the presence of Jesus in the midst of the storm. By his power, we can transcend our fears and anxieties, becoming more than conquerors.
Faith requires leaving the seeming safety of the boat to venture into uncharted territory. Though it may feel risky, Jesus rewards our trust in him. As we walk hand-in-hand on the waves, the storm loses its power over us.
Without Jesus, we are overwhelmed. But with him by our side, we can boldly step out and walk on water. Focusing on his face, not the storm, we discover his peace and presence in the trials of life. Our steps may falter, but he is there to catch us.
Let us hear Jesus calling us out onto the waters today. With him, the impossible becomes possible. With eyes fixed on him, we can walk on water too.
