During the assembly we felt in communion with the whole congregation as we knew that all Provinces were preparing and contributing to the forthcoming event of the XXI General Chapter.
The assembly had 3 key dynamics:
- discerning on the 2 options for reconfiguration
- unified Province of South Sudan and Uganda
- unified English Anglophone Province
including Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda and Zambia

- evaluation and planning for South Sudan Province
- our ministries in the face of the current challenges and the hope that comes from our faith and from the Comboni’s charism
- plans for handing over (Nzara community) and reopening (Malakal community)
- sustainability of personnel, through vocation promotion, and of our communities, by contributing to the common fund.
- Points of reflection for the Chapter
- Formation:
- reconsideration of closures and opening of postulancies and novitiates; e.g. Kariobangi (Kenya), Namugongo (Uganda) and St. Antonio (USA)
- re-think about the two-years theological formation for STVs before perpetual vows.
- Reconfiguration and unifications should go on gradually
- Primacy of evangelization as the core of our charism is to be stressed and maintained within a changing world and the changing of ministries.
- Formation:
